Background
On October 22, the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) notified parents and guardians via emails and texts about the Equity Assessment Survey.

What and how do they plan to conduct the survey?
The proposed methodology includes, among other things, asking children and adolescents from 6th to 12th grade (ages 11 to 18) about their sexuality and gender identity.
Additionally, there are extra questions that will not be disclosed to parents, thereby violating our parental rights.
One concern is that ALL children were automatically included in the survey, and only those parents who realize the dangers of this survey can opt out. However, in reality, for a survey of this nature, it should be the other way around: only those who want to take it should opt to do so.
Who is behind this?
The survey was contracted by the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD), paid for with taxpayer money. The companies coordinating and analyzing these surveys are Mid Atlantic Equity Consortium (MAEC) and amplify equity.

Both organizations are strong promoters of the LGBTQ+ movement, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and CRT (Critical Race Theory).

We, the parents, feel our right to educate and decide what is best for our children is being trampled. No organization can take these rights away from us. This survey does not inform parents in advance about the questions that will be administered to the children. This is a violation of parental rights.
We do not want our children’s consciousnesses to be polarized by ideologies. Ideologies are based on biased information and lack scientific rigor. The references from MAEC have no scientific support or statistical basis. We do not want our children to be used as ‘lab rats’ in socio-ideological experiments. The School District should be based on science. They should focus their efforts on teaching Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Reading, Writing, and Literature, and not interfere in the private matters of parents. We regret that EPISD is infringing on family autonomy and privacy.”
